What is Acne?
Acne is a disorder of the pilosebaceous unit, or what is commonly called the hair follicle or pore. Acne vulgaris, as commonly known as acne, is classified as a chronic inflammatory disease of the skin.

Acne
is characterized by the presence of pimples or "zits", blackheads,
and whiteheads. It chiefly affects the face, neck, chest, back, and/or upper

There
are various ways to treat acne and to get rid of scars, these natural methods
are not only organic and inexpensive, and they also work as well! Just make
sure that you don’t have allergies to any of the products.
1.
Tea
Tree Oil
Say hello to nature's secret, acne-fighting
weapon. Tea Tree Oil is obtained from the Melaleuca alternifoliais tree from
Australia. It is very effective against Acne as it contains bacteria-fighting
substances called Terpenes. Tea Tree Oil smells extremely strong and it's a
killer to get in your eyes. But it is a deep skin cleanser and bacteria-killer.
Either buy Tea Tree facewash or mix a few drops into your regular soap. Try
putting tea tree oil on areas where you break out. It is natural and it doesn’t
dry out your skin, so it is a great way to reduce the oil that builds up in the
pores of your face. It will scrub away
bacteria or dirt that would usually clog pores and cause acne.

Lemon
Juice
Just a few drops of it will do the trick!
Use fresh lemon juice and apply it to acne on a small cotton pad. Let it sit
for about 10-20 minutes. Wash it off. Do this about 2-3 times a week and it can
keep acne from spreading, while fighting scarring at the same time. At night,
before going to bed, apply a mix of cream, glycerin, and lemon juice to your
face and again keep it on for a short while before washing. However, this
particular remedy is not suitable for those having sensitive skin.
3. Aloe
Vera
The watery gel of Aloe Vera is also a
highly effective natural cure against Acne. The enzyme-rich gel has very
soothing anti-inflammatory and anti-bacterial properties. Aloe Vera has
lots of amazing properties that keeps your skin healthy and it also reduces
scars! Try looking for Aloe Vera gel or juice. There are a dozen of brands that
you can pick out in the market. Try searching the internet for reviews on these
products so that you will know which products are best for you. Don’t forget to
read the instructions once you are able to get one.

Tomato
Tomatoes are rich in vitamin A. Take a
slice of tomato and apply it all over your face. Leave it on for 10-15 minutes
and rinse it off. Before bathing, apply a mixture of tomato pulp – real tomato
pulp, not packaged one – honey and rose-water to your face and keep for twenty
minutes before washing off. The antioxidant properties in the tomato help

Cucumber is a rich source of vitamins such
as A, C, E and potassium that help in the treatment of acne. At the same time
the cooling and soothing effect of cucumber on the skin will also help a lot.
Take one or two fresh cucumbers and cut them into pieces and soak them in
water for about an hour. The nutrients present in the cucumber will get
transferred in the water. Strain the water and drink it. You can also use this
water to wash your face. The inner wet side of cucumber peel is used for
treating your acne problem. You just have to rub the inner wet side of the
cucumber peel onto your face. You should do this procedure before going to
sleep. You can also leave this overnight. The next morning, wash your face with
lukewarm water. This treatment will help in cleaning the skin pores and
taking out the dirt and bacteria present in the oil glands.

Papaya
Papaya is a good source of vitamin A and an
antioxidant vitamin which can help in the treatment of acne pimples. You can
use the juice of raw papaya in natural manner and that too without any side
effects. Crush the raw papaya pieces to extract its juice and then
apply it over the affected area. The exfoliating capability present in
papaya will remove the dead skin cells and your skin will become free of
clogged pores. At the same time the enzymes present in papaya will help in
reducing the inflammation and making your skin soft and smooth. At the same
time you can also eat ripe papaya to get benefitted from various nutrients
present in it.

Garlic
Garlic is an antiviral, antifungal,
antiseptic and antioxidant agent that can help in the fast treatment of acne.
At the same time it also contains sulphur, which makes it very effective when
used for acne treatment. apply garlic to your pimples. You should be able to
stand the smell of garlic as you would need to rub raw garlic in your face
several times within the day. Garlic is also known to be effective in curing
boils and spots on your skin.
8. Ice Cubes
Ice can be used to quickly get rid of
acne as it helps in improving the blood circulation and in freezing the
skin pores and removing the dirt and oil accumulated on the skin. You can
either use ice cubes or crushed ice for the treatment as per your convenience.
Wrap the ice cube inside a piece of cloth, and rub it on affected areas for
10-15 minutes each day. It will constrict the blood vessels and therefore
reduces redness. You have to repeat this process to ensure the most desirable
effect. When ice is used repeatedly on the pimples throughout the day, it helps
in reducing the inflammation or swelling and will immediately soothe your skin.

that can be used to help eliminate scars. It has conditioning properties that
help reduce your scars and it also moisturizes your skin. Apply a small amount
of oil on your hands and apply them on affected areas every day.

Oatmeal
oatmeal face mask is another inexpensive homemade acne
treatment that is popular. It is very good for oily skin as it soaks excess oil
from the skin. Make a paste of oat meal and warm water and apply on the face
for 10-15 minutes. Then wash it with warm water to notice a visibly better skin

Honey
Honey is a natural ingredient that can help
in getting rid of acne and pimples very quickly. Honey has antibacterial
properties so it is great for disinfecting and healing minor blemishes. It is
also gentle on sensitive skin. Apply some honey directly on the affected area
with the help of a clean cotton swab and leave it for half an hour and wash the
skin properly with lukewarm water. Another option is to mix honey and cinnamon
together to make a paste and then apply it over the affected areas before going
to bed. Next morning you can see less inflammation or swelling. Try to wash the
skin properly with cold water.
